THREAT ASSESSMENT

Used to determine the credibility and seriousness of a potential or communicated threat, and the probability that the threat will become a reality. It aims to interrupt people on a pathway to commit predatory or instrumental violence, the type of behavior associated with targeted attacks. A threat assessment is a violence prevention strategy that involves:

(a) Identifying suspect threats to commit a violent act

(b) Determining the seriousness of the threat

(c) Developing intervention plans that protect potential victims and address the underlying problem or conflict that stimulated the threatening behavior. From this assessment, a Findings and Recommendation Report is developed

RISK ASSESSMENT

Used to predict the general capacity and tendency to react to potential natural and man-made situations. It is a systematic process to evaluate and identify potential hazards and analyze what could happen if a hazard occurs.

At additional cost, a business impact analysis (BIA) may be conducted. This is the process for determining the potential impacts resulting from the interruption of time sensitive or critical business processes. There are numerous hazards to consider. From this assessment, we develop a Findings and Recommendation Report which can be lengthy in nature but very comprehensive.

SAFETY & SECURITY AUDIT

Used to provide a snapshot of the organizational and campus level of safety and identify those areas that need improvement. It includes the use of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) best practices, as well as the application of general best practices to measure the safety and security posture of a physical location(s). We look at fire safety, medical response preparedness, organizational policies and procedures, organizational communication, general liabilities and risks, technical security, physical security, electronic security, informational security, the operational environment and many other security related information and data. From this audit, we develop a detailed, robust Findings and Recommendation Report.

SECURITY ASSESSMENT

Assesses the methods and procedures to determine if an organization’s security controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and producing the desired outcome with respect to meeting the security requirements.

This generally only evaluates implemented physical security counter-measures and existing security plans. From this assessment, we develop a Findings and Recommendation Report.

MULTI-HAZARD EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN

Identifies emergency management practices, relationships, responsibilities and general strategic considerations for clients. It provides guidance for departments and campuses in integrating emergency management into their emergency plans & processes in order to sustain and support the client’s mission before, during and after an incident. These plans are detailed and comprehensive in nature. They address readiness, preparedness, response, and recovery.
